মবি ডিক বইটি আমেরিকান লেখক হারম্যান মেলভিল এর লেখা বই, একটি সাদা বিশালাকৃতি তিমি শিকার নিয়েই লেখা এ বইটি। আমেরিকার অন্যতম জনপ্রিয় উপন্যাস হিসাবে বিবেচিত এ বইটি। মজার একটি বিষয় হলো এই বইটি বারাক ওবামার ও প্রিয়।

মবি ডিক বইটা মুলত সাগরের বিশাল আকৃতির একটি সাদা তিমি শিকার নিয়েই লেখা। সমুদ্রের এই বিশাল আকৃতির সাদা তিমির নামই ছিলো মবিডিক। এই তিমিকে কেউ শিকার করতে পারেনা, খুবই শক্তিশালী ও ভয়ংকর একটি প্রানি। এই সাদা তিমিকে যারাই শিকার করতে চেষ্টা করে তাদের কপালেই লেখা হয়ে যায় মৃত্যু।
